I have been working on this for months, and finally it is complete. I hope people read this Quirky Tale, because it was alot of hard work.
This story is about a poor boy by the name of "Andrew", who becomes an internet celebrity overnight, and learns about the horror and misery of the internet most of us try to just laugh away.
While the news media sees it as a cause for celebration that amateurs can record themselves acting like morons and uploading it to YouTube, there is something very sinister and unnerving lurking beneath the surface.
Is this whole "Web 2.0" thing REALLY a revolution, or is it just misplaced arrogance?
Should we really be celebrating marketers making viral videos in a pathetic attempt to seem hip? Should we really be celebrating the fact that if I search for "God of Thunder", I will be bombarded with spam about Christian dating sites?
huge quantities of insipid content is more preferred than anything that is actually well-made, or funny, or interesting.
And then, there's Anonymous.
Sorry, can only upload one part at a time...
